Cathedral Appointments are looking to recruit flexible, creative and innovative web developers for our award-winning client based in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. Web Developer requirements include...

The ideal candidate will offer good all-round web development skills with the ability to take on either front or back-end development on a LAMP platform. The preference would be for candidates to also offer previous experience of supporting or developing e-commerce or secure online payment solutions. The role will be primarily office based, however there is flexibility for some home or remote working once established in the role.

Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience of front or backend development using PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Angular or other JavaScript frameworks e.g. Ember, Polymer, Aurelia, Backbone etc.
  • Recent experience of working on e-commerce or online payment solutions
  • Awareness of online security considerations (XSS, XSRF, injections etc)

Desirable

  • Experience with MVC
  • Good understanding of Apache configuration
  • Good understanding of Opcache, memcache and code optimisation/caching in general
  • Experience of CentOS or other Linux distro
  • Experience of Craft CMS
  • PHP certification
