Do you want to apply your UX/UI skills to a niche, exciting business based in Exeter? Do ‘Chocolate Friday’s capture your attention? Cathedral Appointments are seeking an experienced UI Designer/Front End Developer for a young, rapidly growing business based in Exeter City Centre. In the long term, the post holder will be the driving force behind the UX and UI of our client’s desktop application and website, shaping the look and usability for millions of users. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with UX/UI Design and front-end development working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. 

UX/UI Manager responsibilities include...

  • Creating wireframes, mockups and producing these in HTML and CSS.
  • Designing the UX/UI for current and new features and functionality on the website and creating imagery for use throughout the site.
  • Designing the UX/UI and layouts for their desktop applications and working with other developers closely on new features.
  • Participate in team meetings, keeping track of individual workflow using project management tools and where possible using an agile approach.
  • Working with the wider business to shape the future of the business platform.

UX/UI Manager requirements include...

  • Strong previous experience of UX/UI and the ability to guide the team in terms of this.
  • Production experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and the ability to be comfortable with all related technologies such as the related frameworks for each (JavaScript).
  • Experience of using technologies to deliver a desktop product would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of gaming would be extremely beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • A sense of humour!
