Cathedral Appointments are seeking a User Support Coordinator to join an exciting high-growth business in Newton Abbot. This is a full time permanent role, and the successful candidate will have experience providing first class technical customer service to a non-technical audience. 

User Support Coordinator responsibilities include...

  • Efficiently handling user support calls
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a full and timely resolution
  • Data processing/database administration
  • Identify, escalate and resolve software issues
  • Identify patterns in caller queries and initiating resolution of these
  • Undertaking the software subscription renewal process
  • Liaising with customers regarding new annual software subscriptions
  • Testing system enhancements and upgrades
  • Providing administrative support to all other teams on an ad-hoc basis 

User Support Coordinator requirements include...

  • First class customer service skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport, demonstrate listening skills and display empathy whilst dealing with customers
  • General awareness of data protection in a sensitive support environment
  • Ability to use multiple databases and systems
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Good all round administration and data entry skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Experience in a technical support/help desk environment is advantageous

This role would suit a candidate who has experience on a help desk/1st line technical support OR candidates with a strong customer service background. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience handling non-technical customers and display strong communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 1st line technical or user/customer support professional to progress and work in a fast-growing, busy office environment.
