Experienced Engineer required to provide technical support and guidance within new product introduction and continuous improvement in line my clients Group Value Stream. This is a key role within the team, reporting to the Group Value Team Leader, this position will supervise a team of 5. The main purpose of your role will be to distribute workload and monitor both individual and operational performance through establishing, monitoring and achieving the appropriate KPI’s.

Technical Support Leader – NPI & Continuous Improvement responsibilities include...

  • Making sure labour resource is balance between NPI, productivity achieved and shop floor requirements.
  • Ensuring functional expertise of your team is applied and maintained through close working relationships with process engineering
  • Monitor cost and productivity improvements, in addition to producing business cases to support capital expenditure.
  • Manage the technical support team with 1-2-1 meetings, ensuring both personal and group objectives are being achieved.

This role requires a qualified engineer who is able to lead and motivate a team to meet business objectives. The successful candidate will offer: -

  • A proven background working within manufacturing in a value stream, project engineering or NPI position.
  • High level of skills within CAD, CAM, SPC etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ideally a Degree in an Engineering related discipline.
