Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a Supply Chain Data Controller for a leading, international solutions provider on a 12 month fixed term contract. Working on state of the art products, the Supply Chain Data Controller has a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the Supply Chain.

The primary responsibility of the Data Controller is to control all aspects of data management using the SAP system and ensuring that all materials are planned, manufactured or purchased, stored and costed as required.

Main job responsibilities:

  • To manage the process of collecting new and changed Operations data.
  • To validate and quality check the data in SAP and the changes supplied.
  • To assist in driving NPI through Operations and provide back-up to the NPI management team and supply planning processes.
  • Entering the data into SAP in a timely fashion (e.g. material masters, bills-of-materials, routings, creation of part numbers).
  • Bill of Material and routing construction and maintenance.
  • Support the Planning and Production leads ensuring alignment with latest manufacturing techniques and procedures.

Required skills and experience:

  • A good understanding of both manufacturing and MRP processes.
  • Previous experience working with large data sets.
  • A good understanding of SAP is preferred, although similar systems will be considered.
  • PC Literate with strong analytical skills.
  • Structured approach and attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office expert.

With a competitive salary on offer, a good benefits package and based in an easily accessible location in Exeter, you will be expected to work Monday to Friday (09:00-17:30). There is a very strong possibility that this fixed term contract will come with the potential of a permanent position with company at the end of the contract.
