Cathedral Appointments are currently recruiting an experienced Stores Supervisor for a manufacturing company based in Exeter. In this position the Stores Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all the stores employees, promoting the companies high working standards. The client is giving the Stores Supervisor a blank canvas, allowing them to come into the company and position with their own ideas and style to incorporate a new way of doing things

Stores Supervisor responsibilities include...

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of daily workload across the outbound department to ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time.
  • Ensure that products picked are checked and packed in line with business SOP’s.
  • Liaise with the Sales teams to ensure orders are delivered correctly.
  • Supporting the Production Manager in planning and controlling change.
  • Supervision of department members, helping to increasing productivity.
  • Promote 5S Culture within the warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to Health and safety responsibilities.
  • Where required, support the team and the wider distribution team with other warehouse activities to optimise productivity.

Stores Supervisor requirements include...

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a supervisory warehouse/stores role managing circa 5-10 people.
  • Experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example.
  • Have ideas for changes and improvements for existing processes: our client is looking for someone to have an impact.
  • Reach Forklift driver would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of LEAN, 2BIN or CANBANS manufacturing processes would be an advantage.
