A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly successful and driven individual to join our clients Senior Management Team as a Solutions Director. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the company’s International solution priorities and related activities are implemented in a focused, collaborative, well-co-ordinated and unified manner, that is driven by a clear and consistent strategy. The successful candidate will be the operational lead for the solution portfolio of the company and will take responsibility for the robustness and resilience of technical and functional interfaces, and ensure that distributed content, decision support and workflow functionality is provided in line with contractual service level agreements, and customer commitments. The successful candidate will have a vision and passion for delivering value in the fast-moving environment. 

Solutions Director responsibilities include...

  • Assisting other departments on enhancing the portfolio by providing technical and market insights input into new designs, enhancements, and maintenance strategies – whilst working across departments to ensure solution commitments are delivered in a timely, to-requirements, fashion
  • Deliver Solution Plans as part of the International annual business and longer term strategic planning process
  • Devise a clear market-led vision for optimising value from the Company’s International solution portfolio
  • Develop well-considered and actionable strategies to ensure the over-achievement of current and future market, customer, and financial targets
  • Accountable for the financial performance of core product lines across key market segments and manage team, discretionary and expenses of several million pounds Sterling
  • Lead, direct and develop the growing Product Management team whilst working with the Senior Software Manager to secure alignment and development priorities for the company’s portfolio
  • Responsible for both the market and technical analysis, design, validation, and planning phases of projects including internal and external resource requirements and prioritisation
  • Provide direction and leadership in increasing the company’s International output of new solutions and services, and consolidate best practices in software development processes and methodologies
  • Support the successful target development for the company’s International ambitions, delivering a strong pipeline of attractive investment opportunities
  • Ensure metrics capture for market penetration, ROI for new launches, vitality ratios, new customer adoption and Net promoter rates
  • Contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team in helping define key strategies and ensure alignment with key peers on the future priorities of product and technological asset development. 

Solutions Director requirements include...

Candidates must have relevant management experience in a technological/solutions focused business environment, including complex project management, and should be educated to degree level or above in a Science or Business subject. Applicants must be comfortable working across sites and with outsourced contractors. Applicants should have:

  • Strong ability to address market opportunities and improve portfolio profitability.
  • Strong market sensing, numeracy and analytical capabilities
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality scalable B2B applications with best-in-class user experiences
  • Excellent operational leadership skills
  • Able to develop a robust product development framework and awareness of IT Solutions technological best practices
  • Good understanding of the architecture of leading technological platforms, especially the relevant technology stacks in the healthcare sector
  • Efficient in the use of IT to optimise communication and programme management
