A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the highly successful Private Client team of a leading South West law firm in their Exeter office. We are looking for a Solicitor or Associate 2-4yr PQE who will be specialising in UK Tax, Wealth Planning and Succession.

The role will focus around maintaining and securing new business from existing client relationships, develop the profile of the team in the region, winning new clients and building strong links with the referral communities.

Solicitor - Private Client 2055 responsibilities include...

  • Maintain and build the profile of the team in the region
  • Secure new business from existing and new sources
  • Identify and create new opportunities for non-traditional private client work such as NHS continuing care, deputyship and attorneyship, financial management and personal tax
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to refer other work types to appropriate teams – Conveyancing, matrimonial etc.
  • Maintaining close contact with clients and keep him/her informed at all times
  • Deal promptly with all client enquiries and correspondence
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues across the firm as required
  • Ensure clients are aware of all legal services offered by the firm
  • Understand obligations relating to client accounts

Solicitor - Private Client 2055 requirements include...

  • Excellent technical knowledge in a range of Wills, LPA’s, Probates and Trusts
  • Track record of a range of business development activities
  • Flexible approach and the capability to work well within a team
  • Excellent all round communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as lead and guide junior staff
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively and consistently hit KPI’s and other targets
