Cathedral Appointments are working with a unique health food business in North Devon who are looking to strengthen the team with the appointment of a Senior Materials Planner. The Senior Planner will be responsible for several SKU's and will ensure production has enough stock to fore fill orders on time and in full. You will ensure stock holding is kept to a minimum on site, and will communicate with the relevant members of the team to ensure enough stock is coming through for the forecasted orders.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Updating the MRP and ERP systems with all forecasts.

·         Monitoring the sales vs the forecasts and making necessary adjustments with suppliers and production schedules.

·         Ensuring there is adequate raw materials and packaging to meet production demands.

·         Planning ahead covering range changes and peaks for raw materials and packaging.

·         Reviewing daily/weekly forecasts and highlighting anomalies.

·         Plan the production lines and allocate labour against available capacity to ensure that orders are completed on time and as efficiently as possible.

·         Ensuring raw materials are available to complete production schedules.

·         Monitoring the raw material usage; minimising waste; ensuring accurate availability on a daily and weekly basis.

·         Coordinating and advising on stock availability.

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Experience of working in a planning role, ideally within food or FMCG environment.

·         Previous experience working with MRP and ERP systems.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Be self-motivated and hungry for success.

·         Can work as part of a team and comfortable working to very challenging targets.

·         Excellent IT skills.

·         Good attention to detail.

·         Flexible approach to work.

This is a vital position for the company’s future growth so previous experience of Planning in a food company is essential.
