This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical Sales Executive or Account Manager to join a successful and progressive business based in Mid Devon.

Working closely with customers to develop and deliver the sales business strategy and you will contribute to the market management process including development, identification, selection, prioritisation, and risk evaluation of opportunities. Reporting into the Sales Manager and working closely with other members of Sales and Customer Service teams you be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key clients and future strategic partners. 

Sales Account Manager responsibilities include...

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working to a business tracker to identify customer trends
  • Achieve individual sales objectives as part of the overall business plan
  • Develop marketing plans for new products launches, working with the Sales Manager
  • Develop and maintain a business progress monitoring system for weekly review with line managers
  •  Provide quotes, samples and proposals, progress and monitor
  • Attend customer meetings and visits
  •   Represent the company at exhibitions and trade events
  • Any other business development, account management or general support to the wider team as required.

This role involves working with clients globally, and as a result will require regular overseas travel for up to a week at a time. It is anticipated that there could be 4 or 5 such trips annually, however the successful candidate must be available for and happy with regular international travel as part of the role responsibilities.

Sales Account Manager requirements include...

The successful candidate will have hands on experience in a sales or marketing function, preferably an engineering or materials qualification, and good working knowledge of MS Office.

Additionally, any candidates being consider must possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Highly self-motivated, able to work to deadlines
  • Educate to degree level in a business related subject
  • Strong business planning, with an excellent understanding of each of the business processes
  • Able to research, sales and marketing techniques
  • Cost Management Awareness, able to manage a budget
  •  Able to identify new markets and potential businesses and convert to clients
  • An understanding of conversion of new business into a coherent manufacturing and supply chain plan
  • An understanding of the practical requirements of SHE Legislations and the requirements of the company quality system (ISO 9001/2000 and TS 16949)
