Cathedral Appointments is looking for an experienced, hands-on and versatile Recruitment Consultant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly client based in Ashburton, ideally on a part time basis (28 hours a week). The role is going to be varied and often working to tight deadlines when there are multiple roles that are being filled so the ability to prioritise your own workload is essential. The role will give you the opportunity to work as part of the internal recruitment team, and alongside the Hiring Manager in all areas of recruitment from sourcing to onboarding candidates. 

Recruitment Consultant (Internal Recruiter) responsibilities include...

  • Manage a variety of vacancies and support candidates through the recruitment process
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Use a variety of tools to resource candidates
  • Research, prepare and tailor role information including job packs and advertising copy
  • Provide feedback to candidates including job offers and rejections
  • Do pre-screening phone calls before candidates are seen by hiring managers
  • Able to highlight key candidate skills to managers 

Recruitment Consultant (Internal Recruiter) requirements include...

  • Previous recruitment experience at recruitment consultant level (in-house recruitment or recruitment agency)
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Have a good knowledge of a variety of industry sectors and the operational roles within them
  • Experience of searching and selecting candidates
  • Able to manage complex recruitment projects
  • Ability to negotiate with and persuade people of all levels
  • A clear understanding of the cost implications to recruiting staff and able to work within a budget

This is a fantastic opportunity to for an experienced recruitment consultant who has either an inhouse recruitment or recruitment agency background and is confident using a variety of recruitment channels including social media to seek and select the best possible candidates. The successful candidate will be able to quickly build relationships, able to provide detailed feedback (both positive and negative) to candidates and enjoy working as part of a team providing detailed information to managers and coaching junior members of staff.
