Recruitment Consultant opportunity - Cathedral Appointments are Exeter’s longest standing independent recruitment specialists. Established in 1998, we provide recruitment services for businesses across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset and have excellent relationships with a number of the regions premium employers.

We have experienced year on year growth and are currently looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our well-established team of specialists. This role will manage a busy, established permanent desk.  Your focus will be to manage existing client relationships as well as proactively building new relationships.  Above all you will be required to uphold Cathedral Appointments reputation of being a provider of high quality recruitment services.

Recruitment Consultant responsibilities include...

  • Manage and develop existing and new client relationships
  • Successfully identify talent for vacancies using traditional and search methods
  • Interview/assess suitable applicants through telephone and face to face interviewing techniques
  • Effectively use social media to source candidates and prospect for new businesses
  • Visit new and existing clients to maintain strong working relationships
  • Cross-sell other recruitment divisions and services to existing clients
  • Visit new and existing clients to maintain strong working relationships
  • To attend a range of networking events in order to build contacts and raise company profile
  • To reach and ideally exceed monthly revenue targets
  • To be aware of relevant laws concerning employment agencies and businesses

Recruitment Consultant requirements include...

  • Previous permanent recruitment experience – any sector considered
  • Recruitment experience gained from the South West employment market is highly desirable but not essential
  • Proven track record of developing existing and new business relationships
  • Commercially astute, highly service driven and target orientated
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Credible and professional at all times
  • Strong organisational and planning skills are essential as is an enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
  • A full driving licence and transport

We offer a competitive basic salary plus the ability to earn various commissions and bonuses (we pay commission on all billing – no threshold).
