Cathedral Appointments are currently recruiting for a Recoveries Claims Handler to join our well-established client in Paignton. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone with claims experience or a recent graduate, who is looking for a new career path or potentially a role closer to home.

Recoveries Claims Handler responsibilities include...

  • Dealing with a large caseload of clients
  • Liaising with clients, Insurance companies, garages and Solicitors in relation to claims via telephone, email and postal correspondence
  • Assessing the claims in detail and putting forward full arguments to the third party in relation to length of claims, liability etc
  • Recovering client’s uninsured losses from the at-fault third party’s Insurance company
  • General administration; including inputting information onto the bespoke in-house system, updating spreadsheets and filing

Recoveries Claims Handler requirements include...

  • Office experience is essential
  • You must have excellent communication skills, with an exceptional telephone manner
  • You must have good IT skills, namely experience with Word, Excel, Outlook
  • You will be a team player with a positive approach to your work
  • Experience of working within a claims environment is desirable
