Cathedral Appointments is looking for an experienced Reception Coordinator to join a growing business on the outskirts of Exeter. This is initially a temporary role with an opportunity to become permanent for the right person.  My client provides specialist services and safety training courses to businesses in the UK and overseas.  This is a newly created role in a rewarding and highly- interesting sector, which offers a great opportunity for further development.

 

This role will be based in Front of House for this busy office, where you will have varied role which will develop over time, enabling you to get involved in many aspects of the business administration and office support. You will combine managing the reception, ensuring all visitors are closely managed, whilst providing an efficient office support function as needed.

The responsibilities of the Reception Coordinator are…

  • Act as a first port of call for all visitors and issue passes accordingly
  • Maintain a strict register to monitor all personnel that come on and off the site
  • Manage the telephone switch board and re-direct calls accordingly
  • General enquiry handling (via email and telephone)
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for tenders
  • Any other administrative based duties, which will develop as the role grows

  • A hard working and can-do attitude, able to multi task in a busy environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills especially with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • A friendly and outgoing personality, able to offer a warm and professional welcome
  • Highly efficient to ensure very accurate record keeping and personnel whereabouts
