Cathedral Appointments are searching for an experienced QHSE Manager for an engineering/manufacturing client based in South Devon. Due to restructuring within the organisation, this fantastic senior opportunity within the business has become available. THE QHSE role includes management responsibility for all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management functions.

Reporting to the General Manager, the QSHE Manager will join the Senior Management Team and will be working closely with other Senior Managers to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of work necessary to achieve business objectives, and to ensure that employees are compliant with all Health & Safety regulations.

QHSE Manager responsibilities include...

Job Responsibilities:

·         Maintenance and development of QSHE Management systems in line with ISO 9001:2008, implementing ISO9001:2015.

·         Primary contact and management representative for all QSHE.

·         Reporting to the Senior Management Team on QSHE issues, trends and resolution.

·         Conducting internal and supplier audits against ISO 9001, and report findings.

·         Monitoring Supplier Vendor Performance and establish a criteria and rating system for key suppliers.

·         Writing, Implementing and updating QSHE Procedures and Works Instructions.

·         Prepare and authorise FAIR’s.

·         Provide QA support for all design and development activities.

·         Manage the company NCR System.

·         Ensuring all RCCA & CAPA are completed and implementation of corrective actions.

·         Training all employees in all aspects of Quality and QSHE activities.

·         Manage the calibration system. Functional responsibilities to include Risk Assessments, COSHH, site inspections, compliance with legislation and incident and accident reporting and analysis

QHSE Manager requirements include...

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline.

·         Previous experience within a foundry/machine shop environment.

·         Up to date and relevant qualifications in QSHE Management Systems.

·         NEBOSH qualifications desirable.

·         Proven track record of developing, maintaining and improving the effectiveness of QSHE Management Systems in line with specific approvals and regulatory requirements.
