My client, a rapidly growing business based in Exeter is looking to recruit an experienced Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fast-paced role where high attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount.  You will provide the first line of support for our production ensuring that production schedules, orders and outstanding projects are processed and logged with all necessary documentation through the internal systems. 

Production Administrator responsibilities include...

 Duties for Production Administrator include:

  • Working with agreed sales forecast, establish annual raw material requirement for both packaging and raw ingredients
  • Proactively engage with suppliers in agreeing annual supply contracts
  • Using SAP, ensure all agreements are accurately recorded on our computer system
  • Liaising with your colleagues and our co-packers agree and generate appropriate raw material forecasts
  • Order all materials required for production and ensure they are received on time and in full
  • Using SAP, ensure all scheduled requirements are ordered to meet production deadlines, and that our requirements have appropriate purchase orders generated which are communicated to our co-packers.
  • Using SAP, ensure all deliveries are received and appropriate paperwork are generated
  • Ensure SAP contract balances are accurate and agree with our suppliers
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, working closely with them to ensure adherence to specification and quality
  • Ensure any queries relating to procured products are recorded in real time and communicated to suppliers and appropriate colleagues
  • Follow the production processes in line with the production plan, creating relevant PO’s with delivery information and booking references, confirming cost
  • Process purchase orders and approve any purchase invoices
  • Assist with the development of new products and packaging to promote the product range

Production Administrator requirements include...

Requirements for the Production Administrator include: 

  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Practical problem solver with a creative and innovative attitude
  • Relevant experience in supply chain management, stock control and SAP is desirable but not essential as can be trained
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn with excellent organisational skills
  • Numerate and IT literate, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills
