This is an opportunity to work in a thriving market town in Mid Devon working as a Private Client Solicitor in a busy branch Office.   Within easy reach of Exeter City Centre and close to rural countryside.

Private Client Solicitor responsibilities include...

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

-You will be required to deal with all areas of Private Client work, including; Wills, Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax and other Taxes, Trusts, Administration of Estates, Court of Protection, Care home cost planning; and Vulnerable Clients

Private Client Solicitor requirements include...

Background/Skills:

-Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

-Excellent interpersonal skills

-Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload

-Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with good IT skills

-Proven track record of Business Development

-STEP membership is desirable

The role requires someone with sound private client knowledge.   Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and be looking for a new challenge with a Practice that rewards hard work and loyalty.  This Practice is recognised for training and developing their staff and there is the opportunity of Partnership in the future.

There is an existing client base which covers not only the South West but also some London clients.

Candidates with less experience will also be considered as long as they can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their skills in this field.   They will need to show that they are genuinely interested in a career in private client law.

The Salary will reflect the level of previous experience.  For an experienced candidate the salary guide is likely to be c £38,000 to £40,000.
