Developing and testing workflows. This is a key role within the IT team, working closely with team members and the firms Business Analyst to develop Workflows according to business needs as defined by the analyst in support of making the firms operation more effective with reduced risk. This will also include maintenance of existing work flows and a level of providing advice and support to the analyst.

Practice Management Case Developer responsibilities include...


Primary point of contact for all workflow queries

Design new workflows and reports in the Mattersphere Matter Management system

Handle Workflow related Support Desk calls

Amend current Workflows as requested

Work with Business Excellence Manager and Business Analyst to help prioritise Workflow maintenance and development schedules

Work to common standards and assurance test other team members work (including External Developers).

Manage software maintenance:

Act as primary contact with system support group to troubleshoot any technical issues

Evaluate need for and recommend upgrades, fixes, plug-ins, etc

Keep up with news and trends in development methodology, Mattersphere in particular.

Instigate regular end-user updates:

Assign appropriate access rights and ensure for all new and current users

Support users and trouble shoot problems as escalated from the Support Desk

Hold periodic meetings with users and Business Analyst.

Practice Management Case Developer requirements include...

  • Extensive experience of Workflow Development in a Professional Services environment (preferably Legal)
  • Previous experience of Mattersphere Workflow tools (preferable) or Visualfiles. Similar tools could be considered. Training in appropriate products will be available
  • Exposure to C#, VB or similar programming languages advantageous
  • Excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience of process driven design. Ability to understand and build Visio process diagrams
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work flow activities
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with a good knowledge of Conditioning statements
  • Familiarity with relational databases.
