Working for an growing company in Exeter, my client has an exciting Payroll Officer vacancy. This is a sole Payroll position. You will be responsible for the accurate, timely completion for four payrolls and supporting financial reports.

Payroll Officer responsibilities include...

  • The accurate calculation and inputting of overtime, basic hours, holiday and sickness entitlement

  • The administration of all starters and leavers, including tax code, administration and completion of p45s and online submissions.

  • The calculation and administration of pension contributions

  • The calculation and administration of all company bonus schemes

  • To provide accurate information on starters, leavers and absence

  • The accurate administration of monthly PAYE, NIC and associated HMRC payments

  • To be responsible for the maintenance of holiday entitlement records

  • Responsibility for maintaining the company salary spreadsheet

  • To process all Statutory payments

  • Responsibility for year-end tax reconciliations and returns

  • Other ad-hoc duties when required - set up of workplace pension scheme, real time information, set up of Sage 50 payroll system, parallel running and testing thereof

Payroll Officer requirements include...

  • Previous payroll experience is essential

  • Highly analytical

  • Strong Excel experience

  • Experience of solely running a payroll
