Part-time Finance Assistant role working for a professional organisation in Exeter city centre. Ideally my client is looking for someone to work 30 hours per week, but there is flexibility on this. This role will report to the Finance Manager and will support the financial management service of the company ensuring financial compliance.

Part-time Finance Assistant responsibilities include...

  • Updating the purchase order spreadsheet ensuring correct information
  • The receipt of supplier invoices and statements
  • Making bacs and cheque payments to suppliers
  • Ensuring that SAGE and other software is backed up daily
  • Preparation of banking and taking the money to the bank
  • Completing the end of month processes
  • Working within the remit of procedural/approved guidelines
  • Ad hoc duties which may be required

Part-time Finance Assistant requirements include...

  • An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk with working knowledge of SAGE Accounts.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Strong IT skills, knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
