Cathedral Appointments are seeking an experienced Account Manager for a highly successful marketing agency based in Exeter.  The purpose of this role is to own and manage the day to day delivery of client requirements and develop key relationships. Coordination is essential in this role – you will be highly organised and comfortable liaising with various departments. You will focus on client account management for a range of campaigns, acting as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are fully informed at all times. This is a fantastic operational role within a well-respected local business where the successful candidate will be given responsibility from day one.

Operational Account Manager responsibilities include...

  • Act as the operational contact for both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with clients, keeping them fully informed at all stages of campaign activity
  • Take full ownership of all client requirements, including receiving and understanding the brief, scheduling work through the relevant departments and providing support to production teams
  • Ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Take part in client meetings and appraisals when required
  • Ensure that all queries are answered in a timely fashion
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities
  • Create and maintain records in accordance with company policy

Operational Account Manager requirements include...

  • Previous experience of account management
  • An exemplary customer service manner
  • Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and via email
  • Ability to manage a large workload with multiple projects at one time
  • Proven ability to seek out and act on new opportunities
  • An open, honest and transparent attitude
  • Experience working in a digital, creative OR marketing environment is highly advantageous

The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to create a rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Central to this role will be interpreting complex briefs, breaking down what steps need to be taken and planning defined workflow processes.
