Cathedral Appointments is looking for an experienced and competent Marketing Assistant for a Maternity Contract, likely to be circa 9-12 months. Whilst this is a full-time requirement, my client is open to the successful candidate working a 4 day week or reduced hours, particularly for a candidate with strong previous marketing experience at assistant or executive level.

This is a busy and varied role working within the company’s head office, acting as part of the central marketing team for their regional offices. Working on multiple tasks ranging from event planning, producing printed collateral, writing internal communications or coming up with ideas for targeted campaigns. The role will give you the opportunity to show off your creative flare as each office will need a different type of support to increase their market penetration and brand awareness. 

Marketing Assistant (full time or part time) responsibilities include...

  • Support the marketing manager with the implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Create a variety of marketing collateral both print and digital
  • Send out regular inhouse email campaigns
  • Organise and participate in exhibitions and events
  • Upload and organise content on to the internal intranet for use by regional offices
  • Conduct competitor research
  • Assist with budgetary management and the administration of invoices 

Marketing Assistant (full time or part time) requirements include...

  • Previous experience in a generalist marketing role
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Experience of managing social media campaigns
  • Previous experience of event organisation and planning
  • First class communication skills both verbally and written, with an excellent command of the English Language
  • Curious, and keen to learn, able to conduct market research
  • Fast paced with strong time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines  
  • Previous experience in a B2B marketing role is desirable 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a central marketing team providing support to offices across the country, and for someone with a great foundation in marketing to build on their skills experience and broaden their knowledge. The successful candidate will be confident in building relationships with each individual office and support them to reach their marketing goals whether this is to create a specific email campaign, producing printed documents or organising an event. You will be key to the success of each branch and the company as a whole.
