Cathedral Appointments is recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our well established and highly regarded Torquay based client. As Marketing and Communications Manager, you will drive the profile of the charity through the implementation of a range of marketing and communications activities across their target audiences. 

As a marketing, communications and PR expert, you will already have demonstrable copy writing skills, and a flair for producing creative, engaging and effective copy to reach a wide range of audiences. Telling the story of the wonderful work this charity does requires an expert hand, and you will need to communicate this through the right local and national media channels, identifying opportunities and developing the marketing and communication plans.

  • Develop and coordinate marketing and promotional plans for income generation
  • Champion the cause, acting as an ambassador for the organisation, establishing and maintain rapport with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and coordinate marketing plans to raise awareness of the charities services across the sector
  • Develop a PR strategy to raise awareness of the charity’s work and income generation requirements
  • Create rich, engaging and authentic content including internal and general newsletters, publicity materials, copy for the website, printed communication and online media

Marketing and Communications Manager essential requirements include...

  • Demonstrable previous experience gained in a marketing, PR or communications management role
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject. CIM would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of raising a company’s profile using a variety of communication channels
  • Exceptional copy writing skills and a high level of accuracy, proof reading skills, and the ability to tell a story with just the right tone
  • First class communication and interpersonal skills, able to form great working relationships
  • Previous experience of working within a charity or within the healthcare sector in a similar role would be highly beneficial
