The client is a small but rapidly growing company with innovative, award winning products. This role is new to the company and the Manufacturing and Quality Controller will report directly to the Managing Director. The Manufacturing and Quality Controller will be taking responsibility for ensuring their products are manufactured to the highest quality, within budget and within the allotted timescale.

Manufacturing and Quality Controller responsibilities include...

Job Duties and responsibilities:

• Visit various manufacturing factories abroad to complete quality control checks on finished goods.

• Liaise with factories regarding issues, product changes, product testing and financial matters.

• Accurately log all results and factory communications.

• Conduct compliance tests to ensure our products meet all relevant legislation in the EU and

abroad.

• Update and write product specifications.

• Implement and oversee new products including design, material sourcing/testing, R&D, product

testing, specifications, patents and budgeting.

• Conduct reports on any warranty issues.

Manufacturing and Quality Controller requirements include...

Required Skills and Experience:

• Impeccable attention to detail with a strong technical knowledge.

• Previous Quality Control experience.

• Motivated and capable of working under their own initiative.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable with travel and extended stays abroad (up to 10 days at a time).

• Full driving licence and passport is essential.

• Strong negotiation skills are essential

• Strong numeracy skills are essential.

• A second language and/or previous experience in the marine industry would be highly beneficial.

Almost all the clients manufacturing is carried out by third parties throughout Europe, so this job will require a Quality Controller who is happy with regular travel abroad.
