Legal Receptionist

My client, a leading law firm based in Exeter have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Receptionist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a diverse role, which requires excellent organisation and communication skills. 

Legal Receptionist responsibilities include...

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls and re-direct accordingly
  • Meet and greet all visitors in a relaxed and professional manner
  • Maintain the Reception area and ensure that it is always smart and tidy
  • Managing meeting room bookings ensuring IT equipment/presentational facilities are available when needed
  • Ensure all meeting rooms are set up in accordance with organisers requirements and coordinate food and beverage requirements
  • Manage catering and stationary stock
  • Set up telephone and video conference calls
  • Make travel arrangements and bookings as required
  • Assist other members of the team with admin and typing tasks as required
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Legal Receptionist requirements include...

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A polite and professional demeanour with a good sense of humour
  • Proactive and forward thinking with a positive attitude
  • A good team player with an ability to work autonomously
  • As self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • Ability to operate and understand a variety of office equipment such as video conferencing equipment, scanners and fax machines

This role is full time Monday to Friday and would suit a recent graduate or college leaver looking to begin a career within a legal setting. The successful candidate will ideally have reception experience working in a professional office environment, have excellent customer service skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
