Key responsibilities:

  • Configuring and maintaining network routing and switching hardware
  • Building and deploying desktop, mobile, and peripheral hardware equipment
  • Providing support to 200 users over 9 sites: administering the corporate network, servers, SANs, client installation, configuration, and technical support.
  • Using creative and forward thinking solutions in response to all internal employee queries and problems
  • Maintaining MS-Windows Active Directory to include profiles, security groups, and Group Policies. Maintaining email services and external web connectivity
  • Assisting with the management of the company’s internal phone systems
  • Ensuring that the company’s system is secure: ensuring that system backups, anti-virus, and malware procedures are regularly reviewed, tested, and upgraded
  • Training employees to make appropriate and safe use of the company’s IT infrastructure, and ensuring that technical and help documentation is available and up-to-date

Key Skills and experience:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar position of managing secure networks in a MS Windows environment in a multi-disciplines organisation. Candidates who are degree-educated in a related subject, or hold a relevant professional certification or accreditation will be given preference.

Person Requirements:

  • Experience of working with Windows Server and desktop operating systems, configuring and troubleshooting, TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory
  • Experience of MS-Exchange 2010 or above, and MS-Office 2010, 2013, or 2016
  • Knowledge of virtual network technologies, including VMware
  • Experience in LAN/WAN communications, Firewall and VPN configuration
  • Experience of wireless networking
  • Excellent abilities in troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads appropriately
