IT Support Engineer

Cathedral Appointments are seeking an IT Support Engineer for our highly-respected client’s St Austell office. The purpose of this role is to provide efficient in-house IT support to a large team of professionals. This is a newly created role that has arisen due to recent investment in new technologies and business applications. 

IT Support Engineer responsibilities include...

  • Work alongside another Support Engineer to provide friendly, effective IT support to the team
  • Approach all technical issues with a proactive, can-do attitude and take ownership of incidents as they occur
  • Set up and configure all desktops and laptops
  • Manage user accounts
  • Install authorised software and ensure security and upgrades are always up to date
  • Work to improve IT systems by taking on board customer feedback and sharing your thoughts with the team

IT Support Engineer requirements include...

  • Recent experience of delivering IT support in a helpdesk environment
  • Technically able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and desktop operating systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and ITIL are advantageous but not essential
  • A personable, friendly and patient manner
