Cathedral Appointments are seeking an IT Helpdesk Engineer to join their client based in Somerset. Based in the company’s Taunton office, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for employees and clients who require IT support in company offices from Weston to Weymouth. The main purpose of the role is to resolve IT issues or refer jobs to colleagues and clients to ensure that IT systems are working effectively.

Applicants should have at least 1 years’ experience of working in an IT environment, will ideally have an IT qualification or a keen interest in IT, and will have a desire to further your career in IT.

  • Excellent customer service approach
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain IT issues with non-IT staff
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet scheduled work deadlines
