Investment Analyst responsibilities include...

Key purpose:

  • The Investment Analyst`s primary role will be to assist the MD and IM in the deployment and operation of a new fund.

Core responsibilities:

  • Assisting in origination, execution and ongoing management of investments from the fund.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the fund in accordance with agreed remit, terms and objectives.
  • Undertaking of financial analysis and preparation of committee papers for the Investment Committee.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Taking part in meetings, conferences and events.
  • Promoting the business to social enterprises and identifying potential clients.
  • Developing relationships with investors and other partners.
  • Assisting with reporting to the management team and Board.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality and complying with financial regulations and procedures.
  • Deputising for other team members.

Investment Analyst requirements include...

Person specification:

  • Genuine passion for social enterprise, innovation and change and a desire to support it.
  • The ability to understand, interpret and explain financial and business documentation.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to spot opportunities.
  • An aptitude for investment analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong networking, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • The ability to be self-contained, self-motivated and work independently, combined with a responsiveness to goals and performance targets.
  • Willing to travel within the UK and work with colleagues in multiple locations using appropriate communications technology.
  • Enthusiasm to work in an entrepreneurial and innovation environment.
  • Desire to help address social issues through impact and investment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in investment process or management consultancy.
  • FCA approval or other professional qualification
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Experience of social enterprise, entrepreneurial business or both.

Hours:

  • Full time - but possible flexibility on part-time shorter days or 80% of full contracted hours split over 5 days.
  • Monday - Friday 37.5hrs
