Our Exeter based client is seeking an interim HR manager for an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension or permanency.

The business is currently working with a HR Consultant in developing their HR Strategy which will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain broad and varied experience as the organisation implements change and roll out improvements across the business. Project work form a key part of the responsibilities for this post holder in addition to the normal daily transactional HR responsibilities. The successful candidate will benefit from the guidance and mentoring of an accomplished HR Consultant.

Interim HR Manager (6 months) responsibilities include...

  • Reviewing, developing and improving the HR policies and working practices, rolling out across the business
  • Understanding current HR practice and how this impacts on employee capability, and understanding how to develop and improve this
  • Reviewing remuneration and pay policies, and working with the Directors look at ways of enhancing and streamlining these
  • Manager the induction, employee welcome and integration training for a number of employees undergoing a TUPE transfer
  • A broad range of general HR and ER work, including some ongoing case work and projects

Interim HR Manager (6 months) requirements include...

The successful candidate will need to have practical knowledge and experience of TUPE, ideally working with staff councils or representatives, exposure to improving policies and working practices. Previous knowledge of pay, reward and remuneration policies would also be advantageous.

Whilst this is a full-time position, there may be some flexibility on the working hours or work pattern to offer a slightly reduced or flexible working week.
