A fantastic and unique opportunity has arisen for a junior solicitor to join a progressive, forward thinking and rapidly expanding employer in Exeter.

We are looking to hear from 1-3 year PQE Solicitors from Corporate and Commercial backgrounds who are looking for an exciting and challenging new role where you will be recognised for your achievements, given more responsibility and have a better work/life balance in an In-House Role.

This will be a fast-paced role which will span a broad range of legal disciplines including commercial contracts, general legal queries and commercial property matters. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in very element of business activity across the diverse group.

In-House Corporate/Commercial Solicitor responsibilities include...

  • Drafting, reviewing and amending a range of commercial contracts
  • Assisting on a range of property and construction agreements
  • Working on corporate investment and finance transactions for the business
  • Undertaking investment due diligence
  • Assisting with corporate governance and compliance
  • Advising on Data protection and IP issues

In-House Corporate/Commercial Solicitor requirements include...

  • Self-motivated and driven with excellent organisational skills
  • Personable and emotionally intelligent
  • Able to identify and manage confidential material and situations in a discreet and professional manner
  • Have a can do attitude
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
  • Able to perform well under pressure and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Forward thinking with a drive to progress and grow within a role
  • Comfortable working autonomously within the position whilst supporting other team members

In order to be considered you will need:

  • A strong academic background and to have completed a training contract within a regional or larger firm
  • To have worked for a minimum of 1 year within a Commercial or Corporate team with experience of a range of work
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to self-support on Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
