Cathedral Appointments are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer for a progressive, dynamic and highly successful business near Cullompton. The primary aim of this role is to support the HR function in delivering a high quality, professional HR service to managers and staff across the business. Provide advice and guidance on HR matters, including employee relations, development, administration and recruitment, to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

HR Officer responsibilities include...

  • Maintain and update all HR systems and personal files, provide general advice and support to enquiries from both Managers and Staff.
  • Provide general support to the HR function and line managers on HR issues including the production of paperwork, emailing documents, answering phone enquiries, booking meeting rooms and calendar appointments.
  • Support the recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies internally.
  • To administer starter and leaver processes including booking inductions and exit interviews, and processing documentation.
  • Assist with the organisation of training including scheduling, record keeping and completing training needs analysis.
  • Produce reports in excel from the online HR system on a regular basis.
  • Support the HR Manager with projects as required.

HR Officer requirements include...

  • Previous experience in a HR role
  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical communication skills
  • Attention to detail, a competent and organised administrator
  • Awareness of employment law and practical HR knowledge
  • Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified or above, or a desire to complete
  • Act with integrity and be approachable at all times
  • Bags of initiative and the ability to thank laterally and practically, often without a defined process to follow
