HR Manager – successful and growing Devon based business is seeking an experienced HR Manager to focus on people and human resource management across the business and the effective delivery of HR services, policies, procedures and processes that are aligned to the needs of the business.

HR Manager/Head of HR responsibilities include...


  • Influence strategy and develop the HR operational function to meet business needs
  • Deliver people related initiatives across the business (e.g. succession plans, organisational changes, employee engagement, communications and performance management etc.)
  • Develop and implement employment policies, reward and recognition schemes and working arrangements
  • Support the development of high performing teams at all levels that will enable the business to build and retain a competent, motivated and flexible capability with the workforce
  • Lead the HR Team in delivering HR solutions to support business objectives
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of Health and Safety and HR Policy and Procedures, providing guidance and support to line managers on the implementation of those policies and procedures
  • Attend H&S meetings to support staff engagement and address employee issues / queries in open and structured forums
  • Support and govern recruitment and selection processes for core labour and agency staff ensuring legal compliance (including AWR) and process consistency, building strategic partnerships with recruitment providers to establish preferred suppliers for key recruitment areas

HR Manager/Head of HR requirements include...

  • Relevant HR Management and Change Management experience
  • MCIPD preferred or evidence of continued professional development
  • Degree level qualification preferred / min. A Levels
  • Full HR Generalist skill set with sound knowledge and understanding of current UK employment law

As HR Manager, you will bring strong HR experience, both operationally and strategic covering HR and Change projects and be competent to identify and manage operational risk.
