HR Manager – Cathedral Appointments is recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to work for a highly successful and established professional services business. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will be split between their St Austell and Truro offices, with occasional travel to the Exeter office when required.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar level Human Resources role and will have proven experience across the HR mix in addition to a solid up to date knowledge of Employment Law. This is a varied and busy role which will require exception al communication skills in order to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.

HR Manager responsibilities include...

Responsibilities of the HR Manager:

·         Provide a high-quality HR service to employees, team leaders and senior stakeholders
·         Manage the recruitment and selection process and lead talent management initiatives
·         Manage employee relations issues, providing coaching and support to team leaders and managers
·         Oversee and develop training and development across the offices
·         Reward and Recognition
·         Administration and management of the HR Software package
·         Develop well-being and employment engagement initiatives 

HR Manager requirements include...

Skills, experience and attributes required for the HR Manager:

·         Recent previous experience of working at HR Manager or similar level, or looking for next level up
·         Experience of managing or supporting a business across the full HR landscape
·         An up to date working understanding of employment law
·         Experience of working for a professional services organisation would be an advantage
·         Full or part CIPD qualified
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships and build rapport
·         High degree of IT proficiency, ideally with previous HR software systems experience
