Your role as HRBP is primarily to provide proactive, commercially driven HR Support and guidance to the business. You will be responsible for developing and delivering HR initiatives to support the overall business objectives.

With several years’ experience as a HR Professional, and with significant experience of working with stakeholders at all levels, you will need to bring a broad generalist level of expertise and qualification to this dynamic commercial environment.

HR Business Partner responsibilities include...

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Working at an operational level with multiple stakeholders, dealing with complex or sensitive day to day issues
  • Guiding and coaching managers on all aspects of ER in line with HR policy and best practice including disciplinary, grievance, performance, redundancy and absence management
  • Build relationships with senior management and the wider HR team
  • Deliver innovative, cost effective and customer focused solutions for the business
  • Drive and influence the people agenda and issues
  • Support, develop and coach people managers on employee relation issues, aiming to resolve informally where possible and appropriate
  • Support organisation change programmes, ensuring they provide a value adding service
  • Advise on transformational change management issues, restructures, job role reviews, out sourcing, TUPE transfers and/or redundancy situations
  • In partnership with other HR colleagues, implement the strategic HR plan, projects and initiatives
  • Develop, communicate, implement and manage projects, ensuring timescales and budgets are adhered to and met
  • Support develop and coach HR colleagues ensuring their personal and professional development

HR Business Partner requirements include...

HR Business Partner / People Partner qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of working as a professional HR Generalist
  • A solid understanding of the role of a HR BP within a dynamic changing commercial environment
  • Significant experience of advising managers on the full range of people matters and employee relations issues
  • Previous experience of working in a unionised environment, and engaging in consultation and negotiations with Trade Unions is desirable but not essential
  • Experienced in managing change and culture change
  • Adept at managing key relationships and business critical projects
  • CIPD Qualified
  • Full driving licence – national travel will be a requirement in this role
  • Up to date working knowledge of Employment Law
