HR Assistant

Cathedral Appointments is recruiting for a skilled administrator with HR experience to join this fast-paced HR team in one of Devon’s most successful businesses. Very much a support role, this position will also offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop and build their experience and knowledge through exposure to a broad range of generalist HR matters.

Reporting to the Head of HR, experience within HR is essential and level 3 CIPD would be ideal, however the company are also able to offer support for CIPD study. 

HR Assistant responsibilities include...

Responsibilities for the HR Assistant will include:

  • Act as an Ambassador for the business in all areas of Employee Engagement ensuring a fantastic colleague experience at all times
  • Delivery of engaging communications across all internal and external channels
  • Supporting engagement events, and all other engagement initiatives
  • Actively supporting talent attraction through brand building, networking and events
  • Managing the entire application and selection process for vacancies using the ATS system
  • Developing and posting job advertisements via media and job boards, monitoring responses
  • Responsible for all HR administration for starters/leavers, setting up on Mitrefinch
  • Supporting the HR & Training teams, setting up sessions, confirming attendance and obtaining feedback following events
  • A wide range of projects and tasks as required by the team 

HR Assistant requirements include...

Requirements of the HR Assistant include:

  • Significant administration experience, ideally within a HR setting
  • Experience of recruitment administration, HR admin, payroll, onboarding, starts/leavers, HR policy and procedure would all be a distinct advantage
  • An excellent command of the English language with superb written and verbal skills are absolutely essential
  • Proven IT skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook are needed, and previous experience of Mitrefinch or any HR Software would be ideal

This is a super opportunity for a HR Administrator with 1 – 2 years’ experience to join a team where they can gain great experience to develop their career. As you progress you will be able to gain exposure to Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, HR Strategy and HR project work.
