The successful candidate will already have gained experience within an HR role and possess excellent administrative and coordination skills. You will be working alongside the HR Manager, and responsible for HR administration for two businesses within the group. This is an exciting role that involves liaising with managers, employees and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient provision of a professional HR Support Service to the business.

HR Assistant responsibilities include...

Main responsibilities for the HR Assistant will include:

  • Maintenance of the HR and Payroll online system
  • Administration support for special projects
  • Provision of advice and support to managers and employees on HR matters including - recruitment and retention, discipline & grievance procedures, performance appraisals etc.
  • Production of HR related documentation such as Contracts of Employment, correspondence, references etc.
  • Record keeping and maintaining employee records

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a proactive and flexible approach to work.

HR Assistant requirements include...

Essential skills required for the HR Assistant:

  • Previous experience within an HR environment
  • Demonstrable previous administration experience
  • Ability and experience of working to strict timescales in a very busy and demanding environment, delivering tangible results
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

An understanding of HR systems would be an advantage as would a basic understanding of employment legislation. Previous experience gained working in a services environment and ability to show a high level of customer satisfaction would be highly advantageous.
