A fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator with previous staff management experience to join a prestigious Exeter based employer. This role is multi-faceted which involves the day to day administration of the HR and Personnel for the setting, and general administration and office support as required.

The hours of work are 08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday during school term time only (based on a 37 week academic year) and these hours are not negotiable. In addition you will be required to work from 09.00 to 14.00 for the last 3 weeks of August in preparation of the new school year. The salary for the reduced hours is £16447 plus an excellent benefits package.

HR and School Administrator responsibilities include...

HR Administration

·         Supporting the recruitment and selection

·         Preparation and issue of contracts and handbooks

·         Absence Management and liaison with Occupational Health

·         Maintain confidential employee records

·         Induction checks including DBS, Immigration and Referencing

·         Minute taking for HR related meetings

·         Managing the appraisal process and individual CPD records

·         Maintaining all personnel records

General support

·         Administration support for teaching staff which can include correspondence, database updates, mail merge, updating the school website

·         Internal communication with governors and staff with copies of relevant correspondence

·         Oversee office emails to ensure they are dealt with

·         Monitor and bring forward a system of circular letters to parents

·         Carry out fire drill procedures

·         Dealing with urgent messages, delivering if required, reporting unregistered students

·         Updating various internal lists, records and files

·         Preparing, distribute and copy a range of student, parent and internal communications and reports

·         Plus general administration and record keeping as required

 

In addition there are a number of shared office tasks which the post holder will also be involved in, so a flexible and willing attitude is essential.

HR and School Administrator requirements include...

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in a broad range of HR activities, be highly IT Literate, and possess excellent organisational and administrative skills. A courteous and welcoming nature is essential to ensure a professional and warm experience for all parents, staff and students at all times, whether over the telephone or in person. Equally, a flexible approach and an enjoyment of working within a team is essential coupled with the ability to adapt to the ever changing demands of working within the setting.
