Cathedral Appointments is recruiting for a HR Administrator to join a thriving Exeter based organisation for a temporary period of 6- 8 weeks at first, with potential for a long term or permanent extension.

Working hours are 37 hours a week during term time only.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished administrator with first class IT skills, and a warm and confident communication style. Experience within HR or Personnel, or with HR systems would be a distinct advantage however an organised and efficient approach coupled with the ability to learn new systems with ease are essential.

HR Administrator – Term Time hours (Temporary) responsibilities include...

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing offer letters and contracts of employment using templates
  • Supporting the internal recruitment process including advertising vacancies, managing applicants, requesting references, arranging interviews and advising of outcome
  • Acting as first point of contact for employees, monitoring the HR mailbox
  • Organise Venues for recruitment and training, support with recruitment events as required
  • Processing DBS and pre-employment checks
  • Liaising with payroll regarding starters, leavers and contractual changes
  • Assisting in Induction programs
  • Maintain database and accurate record keeping of attendance, holiday, etc
  • General office administration

If you have excellent administrative skills and strong office based experience, we would love to hear from you. This temporary role will commence either w/c 9th October or 16th October so you must be available to start with immediate effect and commit to at least 6 weeks. The work pattern for this role is a term time working year over 42 weeks.
