Bright and capable HR Administrator sought to join a busy, friendly team in Newton Abbot

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent administrator to join a fast-paced HR function for a successful Newton Abbot based business.

You will be responsible for providing full HR Administration support to the HR department, and to both internal and external customers. Great communication skills are a must, as you will be acting as the first point of contact for all HR enquiries.

HR Administrator responsibilities include...

Key accountabilities include:

  • Preparing and issuing employment documents including new starter letters, contracts of employment, and any employee related correspondence
  • Processing and recording all changes to benefits, contracts, annual leave
  • Administration of Employee Benefits Scheme
  • Absence and annual leave record keeping
  • Proactively support the wider HR Strategy, proactively offering ideas, improvements and solutions
  • Recruitment administration, arranging interviews, liaising with applicants and actively supporting the recruitment process from start to finish
  • Reporting, updating and maintaining spreadsheets, managing data
  • Monthly preparation of Payroll using the HR System
  • Dealing with any payroll queries in an effective and timely manner
  • All general support within the HR team as required 

HR Administrator requirements include...

Skills, attributes and experience required:

  • Highly IT Literate across MS Office, able to learn new systems with ease
  • Demonstrable office based administration experience
  • Organised, efficient, high degree of attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, especially when dealing with sensitive matters
  • A can-do attitude, a strong team player with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Confident, outgoing and with a keen desire to learn and a strong work ethic
  • HR Administration experience or knowledge, an understanding of HR policy and procedure

There is a requirement for a permanent appointment, however the client is also keen to explore the possibility of a temp to perm opportunity, so candidates with immediate availability are encouraged to apply
