Cathedral Appointments are currently recruiting for a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer to join our client’s rapidly growing, progressive firm as Head of Department. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Conveyancer with proven experience of managing a team.

Head of Residential Conveyancing SD220 responsibilities include...

·  Managing a caseload of conveyancing files for private clients

· Supervising and day to day team management of the residential conveyancing team currently comprising 3 fee-earners, including the distribution of work, staff development & training, troubleshooting, monitoring work productivity and profitability and compliance with the firm's procedures

· Leading on marketing initiatives and business development

· Building effective working relationships across all of the teams, and promoting new areas of business

· Acting as a key liaison with teams across other offices

· Liaison with partners

Head of Residential Conveyancing SD220 requirements include...

· Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Conveyancer, experienced in all areas of land law

· Proven team management skills

· Experience of working with both private clients and lenders desirable

· Proven ability to take on responsibility and manage files

· Wide experience of conveyancing matters

· Knowledge of the local property market with a wide network and the desire to business develop and network locally

· Excellent client care skills

· An ability to provide a positive and innovative working environment amongst the team, in order to deliver excellent client service

· An individual with the vision, drive and commitment to take the department forward in line with the firm's growth plans
