Head of Civil Litigation- Cathedral Appointments have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to take the leap and join our client’s growing, dynamic firm as their Head of Department. Head of Civil Litigation SD266 responsibilities include...

Responsibilities of a Head of Civil Litigation will include, but are not limited to:

  • You will be responsible for your own caseload of Civil Litigation matters
  • You will be responsible for a team; allocating work, undertaking day to day supervisory duties, coaching and mentoring team members and ensuring training needs are met
  • You will attend networking events and undertake business development activities in order to promote both yourself and the firm
  • You will keep up to date with the specific areas of law relating to your role

Head of Civil Litigation SD266 requirements include...

Background/Skills of a Head of Civil Litigation:

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in Civil Litigation
  • You will have a broad knowledge of Civil Litigation matters and technical expertise
  • You will have proven experience managing a team

Desirable areas of Civil Litigation experience: 

  • Employment
  • Inheritance Act and Contentious Probate
  • Contract disputes
  • Civil procedure
  • Shareholder and Partnership disputes
  • Debt collection
  • Construction disputes
  • Housing/landlord and tenant disputes
  • Boundary disputes
