Cathedral Appointments are seeking a (Graduate) Business Development/Sales Executive on behalf of a vibrant and exciting telecommunications firm, based in the Newton Abbot area. The successful candidate will be keen, eager and enthusiastic towards a career within a Sales environment, possibly with some exposure to the discipline already.

(Graduate) Business Development/Sales Executive responsibilities include...

  • Calling new and existing clients to sell existing company products and services within a telecommunications remit.
  • Attending and presenting the company business at new business meetings in the South West
  • Responding to and handling incoming enquiries
  • Strive to hit and exceed set targets
  • Working closely with the Director of the company who will provide you with first-class training

(Graduate) Business Development/Sales Executive requirements include...

Applicants shall ideally have some experience of a Sales environment, along with a hunger for hitting targets to earn commission

Applicants should also be able to demonstrate the interpersonal and sales skills needed to succeed in the role.

Enthusiasm and a basic understanding of telecommunication technology (Wi-Fi, computer software, mobile phones, etc.) would be beneficial.

  • Excellent ability to be involved at external and internal meetings, and to be able to confidently voice well-thought out opinions.
  • To be friendly, personable, and approachable
  • To demonstrate interest and commercial awareness with regards to the current business market
  • Ability to easily adapt to new environments and use one’s own initiative
