Cathedral Appointments are currently recruiting for a PVC window and door manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Newton Abbot. The General Manager will have a variety of onsite responsibilities, leading an experienced team at this well-established manufacturing site. 

General Manager responsibilities include...

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall management of assigned product lines

• Co-ordinate production and distribution in accordance with policies, principles, procedures established by the company 

• Continuously improve production plans for efficient and effective use of materials, equipment, systems and the team

• Review production costs and product quality

• Ensures correct and safe operation of company equipment and the safety of the operational team

• Provide excellent customer service advice on products and services

• Review and analyse production, quality control and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems

General Manager requirements include...

Required Skills and Experience:

• Five or more years of directly related experience 

• A strong communicator at all levels

• Previous experience in a fast paced production environment is essential

• Excellent people management skills

• Clean Driver’s License

• Strong Health & Safety and Quality knowledge

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for an experienced General Manager. The General Manager will be required to work Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) and in turn will be compensated with a highly competitive salary.
