My Exeter based client is actively seeking to recruit a Fund Accountant to join their expanding team. The company offers a fantastic working environment and excellent opportunity for career progression. 

Fund Accountant responsibilities include...

·         Review all transfers, trades and payments for each client in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures and within the required timeframe.

·         Review net asset value calculations, cash reports, revenue projections, AIC or other industry returns, VAT returns, loan compliance certificates and any other periodic reports as applicable for each client, in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures and within the required timeframe.

·         Maintain investment portfolios, accounting and income information for the portfolio of clients (less complicated portfolios).

·         Review management accounts and accompanying schedules as applicable, for each client in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures and within the required timeframe.

·         Prepare half year and full year accounts together with related information.

·         Attend client company board and management meetings as required.

·         Ensure funds operate within the fund rules and regulations.

·         Effective implementation of on-boarding new business and fund changes.

·         Regularly review SLA’s and update as appropriate, escalate changes to line manager.

·         Regularly review procedures and checklists for each fund against the SLA.

·         Take the lead with client and auditor dealing with all queries and escalate as appropriate.

·         Report KPI’s and narratives, sign off late and error forms within CAS timescales for approval by line manager.

·         Ensure correct access and change controls are in place for use of non-dimension software e.g. Excel.

·         Actively manage and mentor staff under supervision, including 1to1’s and staff appraisals as required.

·         Personal timesheets to be completed accurately and submitted on time as per policies

Fund Accountant requirements include...

·         Qualified/Finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

·         Thorough knowledge of accounting techniques and principles

·         Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

·         Proven ability to meet deadlines

·         Exceptional attention to detail and client communication skills
