Finance Assistant – temp – perm

I have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant on a temp to perm basis working for a employer of choice based in North Devon. Reporting to the Financial Controller this role will include a varied mix of accountancy responsibilities.

Finance Assistant – temp – perm responsibilities include...

  • To assist in the preparation and posting of nominal ledger journals
  • To collate information for Balance scorecard reporting and other reports
  • Data analysis and variance analysis of nominal ledger accounts
  • To send out weekly and monthly reports
  • Any adhoc queries
  • To assist other team members as an when required
  • To handle telephone calls both internally and externally
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with good health and safety practices
  • To be prepared to work after hours and possibly some Saturday on occasion
  • To be a conscientious member of staff and be prepared to carry out other duties from time to time

Finance Assistant – temp – perm requirements include...

  • Experience working in a finance environment
  • AAT qualification is desirable but not essential
  • An excellent eye for detail and to be highly accurate is essential for this role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • A team player, with the ability to cope with a demanding workload

This client is looking for someone to start initially on a temp-perm basis. Due to location it would be essential for the successful candidate to be able to drive and have their own transport.
