Family Paralegal- Are you a recent Law LLB or LPC Graduate looking for your first step into a Family Paralegal role within a prestigious law firm? If yes, then Cathedral Appointments have the perfect opportunity for you! Our client is looking for a bright, ambitious Graduate to join their Family team as a Paralegal. No previous experience is required, but you must have a desire to progress your career within Family Law and studied Family Law as an elective during your Law degree.

Family Paralegal- Ideal for a Graduate! SD283 responsibilities include...

Responsibilities of a Family Paralegal will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting the relevant fee earners with their caseloads by undertaking tasks including but not limited to the following:
  • Ensuring that the highest level of professional standards and client care are maintained
  • Maintaining an effective diary system in liaison with support staff
  • Ensuring positive and professional representation of the firm at all times
  • To undertake all training as required by the Firm 
  • Professionally dealing with clients; over the phone, face to face and via correspondence
  • Ensuring appropriate hours are recorded and billed
  • Ensuring all file records are kept current and case management procedures are maintained effectively
  • Monitoring work in progress and ensuring clients are kept informed

Family Paralegal- Ideal for a Graduate! SD283 requirements include...

Background/Skills of a Family Paralegal:

  • A Law LLB Graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 or studying CILEX
  • An experienced Family Paralegal would be desirable but is not essential
  • The ideal candidate will have studied Family Law as an elective during their Law degree
  • You will be ambitious and enthusiastic with the desire to progress your career within Family Law
  • You will have excellent Microsoft Office skills
