An experienced Factory Manager is required by my client to join this established businesses who are at the next stage of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this company in a new role for their business which will provide exposure to many areas of this SME company in addition to working with the Board of Directors.

This position has been developed in order to deliver key projects and drive improvement leveraging and further capacity improvements whilst empowering an already motivated operations team.

Through the management of a team of 5 direct reports and a team of approximately 40 in-directs. You will be responsible for the whole site operation, managing production, supply chain, health safety, technical and engineering and the warehouse facility.

Factory Manager (FMCG) responsibilities include...

  • Operational running of the site, ensuring the Health & Safety Environment of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements.
  • Maintaining a balanced scorecard against KPIs to drive further growth
  • Clear focus on yield and waste to help maximise margins
  • Leading in the implementation of a Project Management Review system that truly drives continuous improvement (CI), through employee involvement and engagement
  • Leading and Coaching teams to deliver great results, with a clear eye for recognising and nurturing talent through the organisation


Factory Manager (FMCG) requirements include...

  • A background working in a similar role in a food or FMCG business is essential
  • This role requires that you to have a demonstrable track record in a senior operational management role with a strong emphasis on leading and motivating and developing senior managers aligned to Lean methodology
  • Experience and great success within a food manufacturing environment with proven experience of delivering results in all areas of the scorecard is required.
  • You will have a good knowledge of the tools and techniques of Continuous Improvement and how to integrate them in to a business, best practice manufacturing methods.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability inspire and produce energetic performances
  • Ability to drive the strategy and operational performance
  • Previous project management experience
  • Have managed a multi-functional team
