Director of HR - EDP Drug & Alcohol Services is a thriving medium sized charity, working in Devon and Dorset with people affected by drug and alcohol use and their families.  They are looking for an experienced Director of HR who can deliver their workforce strategy, optimising staff engagement and ensuring that people are truly valued at EDP, whilst adopting a commercial approach to achieve objectives.  This post will report to the Chief Executive and provide advice and information to the Board of Trustees.

Director of HR responsibilities include...

·         Lead and develop a small HR team.

·         Contribute to EDP’s overall strategy and direction

·         Establish a single L&D and HR function to lead, inform and deliver the workforce strategy

·         Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of KPI’s

·         Develop, embed, monitor and review policies and procedures for all people management processes

·         Create and deliver effective employee communication and engagement strategies

·         Contribute to tenders, bids and procurement processes

·         Manage the recruitment, learning and development budgets

Director of HR requirements include...

·         CIPD qualified, with proven leadership experience

·         Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level for HR and L&D

·         A successful track record of driving cultural change and continuous improvement, with an up to date knowledge of employment legislation, including TUPE and complex casework

·         Able to meet the appropriate pre-employment checking processes for the role (DBS and Prison Vetting).

·         Able to travel for occasional business use

The post will be based in their Central Services office in Exeter, walking distance from the historic Quayside and town centre.  The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, training and development, a generous leave package, child care vouchers, a pension scheme and a positive, friendly working environment.
