Initially a temporary requirement with an immediate start, there is the potential for this role to develop into a longer-term opportunity or Fixed Term Contract.

We are looking for a creative, talented Digital Marketing Officer to help tell the story for our client via a range of digital marketing platforms. Working within the marketing team, you will take the lead on monitoring and producing dynamic and shareable content for our social media channels, and grow awareness of our work and brand by increasing online engagement.

We are looking for someone with solid experience of planning, creating, optimising and reporting on integrated campaigns delivered via a range of social media and online marketing platforms (including Twitter, Tweetdeck, Buffer, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google AdWords).

You will be just as comfortable producing original social media friendly content as you are adapting existing material for various social channels, and will be confident changing the tone and approach depending on the audience you are engaging with. You will help set a high-quality editorial and digital engagement standard for others to follow and you will also have the skills to train others to become better digital content creators. 

Digital Marketing Officer responsibilities include...

  • To manage and grow social media channels, producing regular compelling visual content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • To monitor and analyse daily social media content
  • To create innovative and inspirational digital marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, to maximise impact through a variety of channels
  • To monitor, edit and produce new and repurpose creative content across the digital channels to continually reach and grow new audiences and followers, and raise awareness
  • To manage, edit and produce content for the website, maximising impact, relevance and usability for key audiences
  • To identify, design and deliver website changes
  • To review, restructure, develop and optimise existing website content for SEO, Google Adwords and Pay Per Click
  • To take a lead on Google Analytics and other tools to measure, analyse and report on the digital impact of marketing campaigns and platforms
  • Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns and social media engagement initiatives, for example, Thunderclap, Facebook video and Twitter surgeries
  • To analyse performance of digital marketing activity, including setting and monitoring key performance indicators and quality standards, and make recommendations

You’re dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic, able to multi-task and focus on the detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture. You’ll be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and be able to adapt in the face of constantly changing priorities and a fluctuating workload. Overall, you’ll be committed to the success of the project, and a great team player.  

  • Strong copywriting skills, understands the difference between blog posts, news updates and media releases and can rapidly produce good quality copy in multiple styles
  • Adept Twitter user, familiar with Tweetdeck, Buffer and multiple list management, un-phased by monitoring many channels at once
  • Confident cross-posting on social networks including Facebook, LinkedIn and making the best of Mailchimp.
  • Ability to muck in and have a ‘hands on’ attitude
  • Good eye for rapid image bank selection and repurposing as social media and website collateral.
  • Disciplined attention to detail combined with flexible team working approach

Desirable:

  • Comfortable with Slack, Trello and Drive as collaborative content production tools
  • Familiar with WordPress admin interface
  • Capable of using Google and Twitter analytics to refine audience reach strategy
  • Competent Adobe Creative Cloud user including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to produce polished visual collateral
  • Able to apply style guide usage rules consistently

This role is initially a temporary contract, so you must be available and happy to take on a temporary contract with a view to potentially developing into a FTC or a longer-term opportunity.
